EACH HORSE AND RIDER COMBINATION ON EVERY TEAM MUST COMPLETE AN ENTRY AND RELEASE WITH THEIR PAYMENT

Teams of 1-4 horse and riders compete on a designated course of 24-30 fences varying from 18” to 3’ and at a designated pace. All members of the team must stay together while on course and must go through all flags. ALL JUMPS ARE OPTIONAL! Team members may jump any level, but must complete the course as close to the pace of the division entered.

Divisions: Each division is determined by OPTIMUM SPEED, not by the height of the jump. The team closest to the optimum time (+ or -) in each division is the winner. In all divisions, 25-35 obstacles are available. Jumps are grouped. Horses in each team can jump any fence in the group. Any riders who opt out of jumping must still pass between the flags. Red flag on the right. White flag on the left.

  • Division A-350 mpm (a galloping pace)

  • Division B-300 mpm (a cantering pace)

  • Division C-250 mpm (a trotting pace)

At the finish you will be near to the path of the next team, so be careful and follow the tape marking the return path.

No penalties for horse refusals, run-outs or fails- just get to the finish line by going through all the flags. If a team member falls off, the team is eliminated, but may continue.

Prizes: Championship ribbons through 6th place will be awarded in each division, plus BEST COSTUME PRIZES! All entries and volunteers receive a capping coupon ($99 Value) for a free day of hunting with the Arapahoe Hunt Club (Oct. 16, 2022-Apr. 23, 2023)

Your team’s start time will be emailed to you and available by September 15th. Teams must ride at the posted start time. Please yield to faster teams in case you are overtaken on the course.
