Welcome to the 98th Season of The Arapahoe Hunt

Dear Members, It is with great pleasure we welcome you to the 98th season of The Arapahoe Hunt Club.

As another season begins, we are especially pleased to welcome our new Huntsman, Chris Burrowswood. Chris joins us with more than four decades of hunting experience and a distinguished background in the sporting life. He was Master and Huntsman to Clifton-upon-Teme in the UK followed by his most recent twelve successful seasons as Hunstman of Windy Hollow Hunt in New York. Chris brings a wealth of knowledge, dedication, and horsemanship to our Club. We are indeed fortunate to have Chris as Huntsman and Joint Master of AHC, along with his wife Joann. We know you will extend to them the warm welcome for which the Arapahoe Hunt Club is known.

Mounted foxhunting is a sport unlike any other. It is founded upon respect—for our horses and hounds, for the land and its stewards, and for the traditions that have been entrusted to our care for generations. It offers the incomparable pleasure of riding to hounds in good company, strengthening friendships, and sharing experiences that continue to enrich our lives both in and out of the hunting field. The Arapahoe Hunt Club thrives because of the dedication of its members.

On behalf of the Masters, Board of Directors, and staff, we encourage each of you to become involved throughout the season—whether by hunting, attending social events, volunteering, supporting our landowners, or introducing others to our sport. The future of mounted foxhunting depends on all of us working together to preserve its traditions, steward the land, and foster the welcoming community that makes this sport so special.

Our sincere thanks go to the many volunteers whose quiet efforts throughout the year sustain the Hunt in countless ways as well as to the Land Board for providing us with our fixture. We look forward to sharing this season with you and wish each of you safe horses, good sport, loyal hounds, exciting quarry and the fellowship that has long defined The Arapahoe Hunt Club.

With best wishes for a safe and successful season,

The Masters, Board of Directors, and Staff The Arapahoe Hunt Club
